Process to obtain License

License Acquisition Process

For overseas applicants who wish to work outside Korea as a WIG officer,
Customized certificate courses are available to qualify them
for a WIG officer license in a jurisdiction they wish to work.

EXPERIENCED FLIGHT PILOT

Private pilot certificate more than
400 hours of flight experience

SAILOR EXPERIENCE

More than a 5th class Deck Officer Certificate more than 2 years of experience (depending on the tonnage of the ship)

6TH CLASS DECK OFFICER CERTIFICATE

Passed the written examination by the Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology

LIGHT SPORT AIRCRAFT
PILOT CERTIFICATE

Flight education through light aircraft training company. Succesfully passed written and practical test

WIG CRAFT FLIGHT ATTENDANT

More than two years of duties related to flight operations

WIG CRAFT LICENSE ACQUISITION

Completion of actual training and written test of Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries

Training Program

Korean Government-accredited and IMO guidelines-compliant Program

LICENSE ACQUISITION PROGRAM

Training for license acquisition is provided in cooperation with KIFEC and the Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology
